Shift2

Welcome to Shift 20 Casting Call, an open source casting platform for talent with disability.

We’re on a mission to shift disability representation and inclusion in advertising from the less than 1% it is now, to the 20% it should be.

And that starts with showcasing Australia’s amazing talent with disability, and making it as easy as possible for casting directors, brands and advertising agencies to cast them in their campaigns.

So we’re calling on all those with disability, who’ve ever dreamt of being an actor and seeing themselves on screen to submit to Shift 20 Casting Call – a TikTok based audition platform to get talent with disability seen and cast.

Talent with disability can simply create an audition video, submit it on the Shift 20 Casting Call TikTok page, and once approved the audition video will go live on TikTok to be searched and browsed by casting directors. The experts from Zebedee Talent will be there to help support conversations between talent and brands, to ensure that access requirements are understood and met.

So, if you’re someone with disability with the dream of becoming an actor, submit your audition video now.

If you’re a brand, advertising agency or casting director, browse the Shift 20 Casting Call audition playlist to find amazing talent ready and able to do amazing things for your brand.

How to apply

Please DM us if you would like to apply to be featured on Shift 20 Casting Call. We will send you a talent form, which you need to return alongside your personality tape.

Your personality tape should include the following information – remember to be yourself, and let your personality shine through!

  • Name

FAQs
  • Why does Shift 20 Casting Call exist?
    • Nearly 20% of Australians have a disability of some kind, yet less than 1% are represented in advertising campaigns. In order to bring representation closer to the 20% where it should be, we need more people with disability cast in advertising campaigns. Shift 20 Casting Call exists to help make that happen, through creating opportunities for people with disability who would like to become actors.

As a non-for-profit, the Dylan Alcott Foundation and Shift 20 do not financially benefit or take any payment from the process.
